Smart Safe / Teller Cash-Management Safe — a UL-291-rated, drop-safe cash depository with cloud-connected remote monitoring. Designed for retail chains, bank-branch back offices, ticket booths, and any location where cash needs to be secured on-site between cash-in-transit pickups, with real-time visibility into every deposit event.

Note on Software. TopGood is a hardware integrator. The Smart Safe hardware is delivered ready to integrate with your chosen cash-management platform, security operations center (SOC), or CIT (cash-in-transit) workflow. We provide the hardware SDK for full event integration, or we can develop the management dashboard once your reporting requirements and routing rules are confirmed.

What the Smart Safe Solves

Conventional drop safes only lock cash inside — visibility into what’s been deposited, when, and by whom is limited to the next manual opening. The Smart Safe closes that gap by combining a UL-291-rated safe with a smart validator and cloud-connected event reporting:

  • Every deposit is automatically counted and validated (per-note counterfeit check).
  • Each deposit event is time-stamped and pushed to your back-office dashboard in real time.
  • Door-open, lock-cycle, and tamper events are logged and can trigger SMS / email alerts.
  • Cash-in-transit pickups are scheduled against the live deposit log, not a manual count.

Standard Deposit Workflow

  1. User authentication. Operator badge / PIN / biometric — the deposit is attributed to a specific employee or shift.
  2. Bag or bill insertion. Drop bag (deposit bag, no validation) or single-note insertion (validated, count logged). Bags are not counted; bills are.
  3. Safe door auto-locks. Time-delay lock (configurable 0 – 15 min) prevents same-shift access to deposited cash.
  4. Event push. Deposit event is sent to the cloud dashboard, including operator, timestamp, count (if bills), and bag ID (if bag).
  5. CIT pickup. Armored-car pickup happens against the live deposit log — no manual recount needed.

Software Integration Model

TopGood is a hardware integrator. The Smart Safe’s deposit and tamper events are exposed via a standard event stream (HTTPS webhook, MQTT, or REST API) so your existing cash-management platform, security operations center, or CIT routing system can consume them directly. The standard model is:

  • Option A — Client-side integration. We provide the hardware SDK and event stream. Your operations team wires events into your existing dashboards and alerting.
  • Option B — TopGood dashboard. We deliver a managed web dashboard for deposit log, tamper alerts, and CIT scheduling if you prefer a turnkey cloud view.

After-Sales & Quality Assurance

  • Pre-delivery burn-in. Each unit is tested at the factory — safe lock cycles, validator accuracy, door-open and tamper sensor responsiveness.
  • Remote support. Tamper alerts and deposit logs are visible to our engineers for remote diagnosis if a unit goes offline or shows anomalous behavior.
  • Operation training. Operator-badge enrolment, time-delay configuration, and CIT-pickup handover are documented and walked through during commissioning.
  • Warranty. Standard 12-month warranty, extendable to 60 months.

Why TopGood

  • 12+ years of self-service kiosk integration experience. Founded in 2014. Cash-handling deliveries to overseas clients since 2016.
  • In-house safe sourcing. UL-291 and CEN III safes are integrated in-house, not as a third-party pass-through.
  • Reference deployments. Smart Safe integrated into bank-branch back-office and retail-chain shift-end deposit workflows.
  • Cloud-first event design. Every deposit and tamper event is designed for cloud push, not just local logging — so back-office teams see deposits in real time.
  • Global certifications. CE and CB certified for European markets.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Smart Safe different from a traditional drop safe?
A traditional drop safe only locks cash inside — visibility into what’s been deposited, when, and by whom is limited to the next manual opening. The Smart Safe closes that gap by combining a UL-291-rated safe with a smart banknote validator and cloud-connected event reporting. Every deposit is automatically counted (for validated notes), time-stamped, attributed to a specific operator or shift, and pushed to your back-office dashboard in real time.
What happens when a deposit is made?
The operator authenticates with a badge, PIN, or biometric. Single notes are validated (UV / MG / IR / CIS) and counted; bags are tagged with a unique ID. The deposit event is pushed to the cloud dashboard, the safe door auto-locks under a configurable time-delay (0 – 15 minutes), and optional SMS / email alerts fire for tamper events.
Can the safe be opened remotely?
Remote unlock is supported as an optional module for emergency override, with a full audit log of every unlock event. Standard deployment uses time-delay lock + dual electronic locks + mechanical combination — no remote unlock.
What safe rating is supported?
UL-291 Level 1 (24-hour) is standard. CEN III upgrade is available for European bank-branch back-office deployment.
Does the unit require internet connectivity?
Yes — the cloud dashboard and remote alerting require RJ45 Ethernet or 4G LTE. The unit also has 8-hour UPS backup to ride through short outages. Local deposit log is preserved even when offline and is pushed to the cloud once connectivity is restored.
