Teller Kiosk (Assisted Cash Recycler) — a hybrid bank-branch kiosk that combines cash deposit, cash withdrawal, foreign-currency exchange, card issuance, and live video teller support in a single unit. Designed for bank branches transitioning to smaller-footprint assisted-self-service formats, and for credit unions and money-transfer operators that need teller-grade transactions without staffing every station.

Note on Software. TopGood is a hardware integrator. The Teller Kiosk is delivered as a fully integrated hardware platform. The transaction workflow, video-teller integration, KYC/AML verification, and core-banking integration are developed either by your in-house team using our hardware SDK, or by TopGood once the workflow and regulatory requirements are confirmed.

Teller Kiosk vs. Virtual Teller Machine

TopGood’s existing Virtual Teller Machine is a video-banking station without cash handling. The Teller Kiosk is the next tier up — it adds physical cash recycling, multi-currency handling, and card issuance on top of the live video teller experience:

Capability Virtual Teller Teller Kiosk
Live video teller
Cash deposit & withdrawal ✓ (recycler)
Multi-currency exchange ✓ (4 currencies)
Card issuance (instant issue) ✓ (4-hopper printer)
ID / passport KYC
UL-291 24/7 safe

Standard User Workflow

  1. Authentication. Insert bank card, scan QR code, or scan ID / passport.
  2. Transaction selection. Cash deposit, cash withdrawal, currency exchange, card issuance, or balance / statement query.
  3. Live video teller (optional). For assisted transactions, the user connects to a remote teller via the kiosk’s high-resolution camera and dual microphones. The teller can co-pilot the transaction.
  4. Cash handling. Insert notes (validated, escrow-held) or withdraw notes from the recycler. Multi-currency supported when configured.
  5. KYC verification. ID / passport scan + optional facial-recognition match. Verified transaction proceeds.
  6. Card issuance (if applicable). Card is printed on-site and dispensed — front face and back face with embossed details.
  7. Receipt & confirmation. Receipt printed, optional SMS / app notification sent.

Software Integration Model

TopGood is a hardware integrator. The Teller Kiosk exposes standard interfaces (USB, RS-232, Ethernet) for all hardware modules, and a high-level hardware SDK that abstracts the cash recycler, card printer, and biometric stack. The standard model is:

  • Option A — Client-side development. Your in-house development team builds the transaction workflow, video-teller integration, and core-banking connectivity on top of our hardware SDK.
  • Option B — TopGood development. We deliver the application once your core-banking API, video-teller platform (e.g. Video Banking Solutions, NCR Interactive, or your custom), and KYC / AML provider are confirmed.

After-Sales & Quality Assurance

  • Pre-delivery burn-in. Cash recycler, card printer, ID scanner, and EPP are all tested at the factory in an integrated loop simulating real teller sessions before shipment.
  • Remote support. Live tellers can be supported remotely; engineers join the video session for hardware diagnosis if needed.
  • Operation training. Branch staff and remote tellers receive walkthrough documentation for routine maintenance, card-printer consumable replacement, and cassette cycling.
  • Warranty. Standard 12-month warranty, extendable to 60 months.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between the Teller Kiosk and the Virtual Teller Machine?
The Virtual Teller Machine is a video-banking station without physical cash handling — it supports live video teller interactions and KYC but does not dispense or accept cash. The Teller Kiosk is the next tier up: in addition to the video teller and KYC, it adds a cash recycler for combined deposit and withdrawal, multi-currency exchange, and instant card issuance through a 4-hopper card printer.
What transactions can a user perform on the Teller Kiosk?
Cash deposit (validated, escrow-held), cash withdrawal, foreign-currency exchange (up to 4 currencies with 3 denominations each), instant card issuance, balance and statement query, and live-teller-assisted transactions across all of the above.
Does the Teller Kiosk support card issuance?
Yes. A Pointman dual-side instant-issue card printer with 4-hopper (200 cards per hopper) is integrated. Front and back faces are printed and embossed in a single transaction; cards are dispensed without staff intervention.
What kind of KYC is supported?
ID / passport scanning with industrial OCR and chip reading, Full-HD facial recognition camera with integrated liveness detection, and a PCI PTS-certified encrypted PIN pad (e.g. Sunson SE8098E or equivalent). For higher-value transactions, fingerprint biometric is also available.
Does the unit require a live teller for every transaction?
No. Routine deposit, withdrawal, and card-issuance transactions can be completed without a live teller. The live teller connects only when the user explicitly requests assistance, when the transaction type requires human authorization, or when KYC flags a manual review.
